Why Ho'okipa?

Ho'okipa Ultra PE is a material that excels in lightness, water repellency, UV resistance and resistance to cuts, tears and abrasion. This material is even 15 times stronger than steel at equal weight and twice as light as carbon fiber. The structural composition of Ho'okipa ensures a responsive, light and durable wing that even floats on water.

Materials, care and storage

The Skywave 5.0M consists of Ho'okipa Ultra PE for the center beam, leading and trailing edges, and a non-absorbent polyester (Dacron) sailcloth. For optimal care it is recommended to rinse the wing in fresh water after use and store it dry and free from dirt. To extend the life of the wing, store it in a dry and well-ventilated place, away from direct sunlight and sources of moisture.
